Today's Devotional: A short reflection on Psalm 46 for today.

Beliefs

Our beliefs rest solely on the Bible, the written and infallible Word of God, its sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe it was, in a unique way, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it was written without error in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority on everything it addresses.

Because of the specialized calling of our community, “Faithful Church of God,” we wish to allow freedom of conviction and balance regarding any other doctrinal matter, provided that any interpretation rests solely on the Bible and that such interpretation does not become a source of conflict that would hinder the ministry to which God has called us.

Here is what we believe.

The Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God, the supreme authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct of our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternally sovereign and almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
Jesus Christ our Lord, the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh, born of the Virgin Mary, His sinless humanity, His miracles, His atoning and redemptive death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and glory.
Jesus Christ is the head of the Church ; His body is made up of all people, living and dead, who have been joined to Him by justifying faith.
The salvation of sinful and lost humanity, justified not by works but by faith alone, through the blood shed by Jesus Christ our Lord, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit, coming to dwell in us, gives us the power to serve Jesus Christ, to live a holy life, and to bear witness.
The unity of faith in Christian fellowship and of the Holy Spirit among all believers, together forming the universal Church, the body of Christ.
The resurrection of all : those who are lost will rise to judgment ; those who are saved will rise to eternal life.
